Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Responsible for month end closure of Inventory and Work in Progress.
· Assist the Director of Finance in the preparation of the monthly Flux Analysis. Including variances in COGS, Gross Margin and Absorption vs PY/Budget and Forecast.
· Assist the Director of Finance with AOP and quarterly forecast preparation.
· Provide guidance to the operations team and drive action to improve P&L performance
· Analysis of the cost of operations including gross margin by part number, product line and customer.
· Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
· Prepare month end journal entries.
· Periodic review of all Standard Costs.
· Analysis of annual physical inventory and daily cycle count results.
· Provide financial analysis and ad hoc reporting to the Operations team.
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required
Skills and Abilities
· Knowledgeable of US GAAP - Strong cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment required
· Work independently, with minimal supervision. Able to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
· Anticipate potential problems as they develop and communicate such to Senior Management
· Work collaboratively with others in identifying resources and sharing the allocation of resources.
· Excellent analytical skills
· Advanced knowledge of internal control procedures
· Strong people skills with the ability to evaluate, coach, and motivate employees
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Demonstrated experience with Oracle Cloud or similar ERP system.
· Strong computer skills required, including Microsoft Excel and Word skills
· Knowledge of SOX compliance-preferred
Desired Education, Certifications and Experience
· 5 years of progressive accounting experience including 2+ years of Cost Accounting experience. Required
· B.S. in Accounting from an Accredited Institution
· MBA Preferred
