Legal Assistant
Reports to: Litigation Attorney
Summary/Objective:The Legal Assistant role will provide essential administrative and case support to the Case Managers handeling persona injury matters. The Lega Assistant will play a key part in maintaining case organization, requesting critica documentation, and ensuring communication is timely and professional.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily administrative support to assigned Case Managers.
- Request and follow up on police reports, crash reports, incident documentation, and medical records.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date digital case files, ensuring all documentation is properly labeled and stored in our case management system.
- Draft basic client correspondence, including appointment reminders, document requests, and case updates.
- Assist in obtaining billing records and treatment summaries from medical providers.
- Track requests and deadlines to ensure timely follow-up with providers and agencies.
- Conduct regular file reviews and cleanup to ensure accurate notes, tabs, and documentation within Filevine.
- Coordinate with the legal team to support preparation of demand packages and settlement documents.
- Perform general clerical and data entry tasks related to legal casework.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in legal or administrative support, preferably in personal injury or medical-related fields.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in case management software (Filevine experience is a plus).
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines independently.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. (Send resume in English)
- Must be able to commute to work in our office located in Monterrey, Mexico.
