We are looking for a Head of Sales Mexico to lead our national sales organization and drive sustainable growth across the Mexican market. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for sales performance, strategy execution, customer relationships, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will play a key role in shaping ZIM’s commercial success in Mexico while serving as a core member of the local Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Management

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing national sales team

Ensure achievement of volume, revenue, and profitability targets

Distribute sales targets and define priorities across the team

Oversee customer visits, quotations, agreements, reporting, and revenue follow-up

Manage key accounts and negotiate strategic and special projects

Improve sales processes and interfaces with other departments to maximize efficiency and customer experience

Expand and strengthen ZIM’s customer base in Mexico
Strategic & Commercial Activities

Develop and execute the national sales strategy aligned with market trends

Maintain deep knowledge of competition, market dynamics, and trade flows

Identify new revenue opportunities and propose new commercial initiatives

Build strong, long-term partnerships with customers by understanding their business needs

Stay ahead of market trends and share insights with local teams, regional offices, Business Units, and HQ

Contribute to the overall leadership and strategic direction of ZIM Mexico

Requirements:
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in International Business or a related field

5+ years of leadership experience developing and managing sales teams

Experience in a global company in a similar commercial leadership role

Deep knowledge of the container shipping industry in Mexico

Strong understanding of import/export flows, terminals, forwarding, and inland transportation markets
