The Senior Quality Manager is responsible for leading and driving the organization’s quality strategy across all stages of product development and manufacturing. This role ensures that all electronic products meet customer, regulatory, and industry standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and zero-defect mindset.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead and mentor quality teams across multiple functions (incoming, in-process, outgoing, supplier quality).
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IPC, and/or AS9100 (if applicable).
- Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and safety requirements for electronic products.
- Lead internal and external audits, including certification and customer audits.
- Oversee quality assurance processes across product lifecycle: design, development, manufacturing, and post-market support.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
- Implement advanced quality tools such as Six Sigma, SPC, DOE, FMEA, and 8D problem solving.
- Establish supplier quality requirements and performance monitoring systems.
- Lead supplier audits, qualifications, and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure incoming materials meet defined quality standards.
- Identify and execute process improvement projects to reduce defects, waste, and cost of poor quality (COPQ).
- Track KPIs such as yield, defect rates, customer returns, and reliability metrics.
- Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives across the organization.
- Act as the primary point of contact for major customer quality issues and escalations.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and drive improvements based on feedback.
- Support customer audits and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing quality team.
- Provide coaching and training on quality tools and methodologies.
- Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, or related field).
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in quality management within the electronics or manufacturing industry.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Experience in high-volume electronics manufacturing (e.g., PCBA, semiconductors, consumer electronics) preferred.
- Certified Quality Manager (CQM)
- Six Sigma Black Belt
- Lead Auditor (ISO 9001 or similar)
