We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will play a key part in shaping how automation testing is designed, executed, and evolved across the project. You will collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure testing practices align with modern development workflows and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities

Define the overall test strategy across all automation-related activities

Configure tools and establish the setup required to support automation initiatives

Extend the existing Katalon Studio framework to broaden its capabilities

Create detailed test cases covering critical functional areas and scenarios
-
Propose efficient solutions to testing challenges and process improvements
-
Execute test cases and monitor their results throughout execution cycles
-
Deliver user-friendly test reports that provide clear visibility to stakeholders
-
Integrate Katalon automation reports with Polarion to enable centralized tracking
-
Validate custom keywords used within automation frameworks
-
Roll out the setup needed for smooth and consistent automation operations
-
Establish clear test processes for the team to follow in a consistent manner
-
Define roles and responsibilities within the automation team

Train team members on automation frameworks and recommended best practices
-
Coach and support the team throughout the entire development lifecycle

Facilitate the handover of automation work and knowledge to the wider team
Requirements
-
At least 3 years of professional relevant experience in automation engineering

Background in automation testing integrated with DevOps pipelines
-
Applied implementation of automation using Katalon Studio and Appium
-
Practical involvement in unit testing and UX testing activities

Working understanding of TDD and BDD frameworks for structured test creation

Experience operating within fast-paced Agile environments

Broad knowledge of Katalon, Bitbucket, GitLab, TeamCity, and Source Tree
-
Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate test automation efforts
-
Skill in shaping and communicating the test strategy to the automation team

Capability to ensure the team consistently adheres to standard automation processes
-
Hands-on experience with Cucumber for behavior-driven test scenarios and Selenium for web application test automation

Confident English communication at B2 level or higher, in both written and spoken forms
Nice to have

Familiarity with Atlassian Jira for tracking test activities and defects

Experience in Continuous Integration development and maintenance to support automated workflows

Practical exposure to GUI testing across different platforms and applications

Working knowledge of Postman for API testing and validation
-
Background in web service and API test automation
