Job Summary
Sr R2 Engineer role in a hybrid work model focusing on designing building and optimizing cloud native applications using Openshift Azure AWS and Java Linux Azure/OpenShift AWS/1CP/Github for a multinational organization. The engineer will drive reliable deployments enhance application performance and ensure secure operations while collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver scalable enterprise solutions.
Responsibilities

Design scalable cloud native applications using Java and microservice patterns that run efficiently on Openshift clusters and across Azure and AWS environments
Implement robust deployment pipelines that automate build test and release processes for Java based services on Openshift while maintaining high reliability and consistency
Optimize application performance by tuning Java services resource configurations and autoscaling policies in Openshift and cloud platforms to meet demanding business performance targets
Configure secure and resilient infrastructure components in Azure and AWS including compute storage and networking resources to support enterprise grade applications
Monitor production systems using observability tools to detect issues early analyze trends and recommend corrective actions that improve stability and uptime
Collaborate with architects developers and operations specialists to translate solution designs into practical implementations aligned with organizational standards and security policies
Troubleshoot complex issues spanning Java code container configurations and cloud services by performing systematic root cause analysis and driving sustainable fixes
Develop and maintain reusable automation scripts and infrastructure configurations that reduce manual effort improve repeatability and support rapid environment provisioning
Create clear technical documentation including solution diagrams deployment runbooks and configuration guidelines that help teams operate and enhance applications effectively
Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance requirements by applying best practices for identity access control encryption and network segmentation across cloud platforms
Support continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating new features in Openshift Azure AWS and Java frameworks and proposing enhancements that deliver measurable value to the organization
Coordinate with stakeholders to plan and schedule deployments in the day shift ensuring minimal disruption to business operations within the defined hybrid work model
Participate in incident response activities during business hours providing timely analysis communication and remediation to restore services and prevent recurrence
Qualifications
Possess professional experience in designing and implementing Java applications running in containerized environments with strong understanding of microservices and related patterns
Demonstrate hands on expertise with Openshift including project configuration container orchestration resource management and troubleshooting of workloads at scale
Show practical experience deploying and managing solutions on Azure such as application services storage accounts virtual networks and identity configurations aligned with enterprise practices
Show practical experience deploying and managing solutions on AWS including compute instances container services storage and networking components used in production systems
Exhibit solid understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery concepts with experience using automation tools to build test package and deploy Java applications to cloud platforms
Apply strong knowledge of secure coding practices cloud security controls and compliance considerations relevant to hybrid enterprise environments without requiring frequent travel
Communicate effectively with cross functional teams documenting design decisions implementation details and operational runbooks to support shared understanding and efficient collaboration
