TXM are partnered with KNAPP, a leading automation and intralogistics provider, as they look to add experienced Control Systems Engineers (PLC) to the business across the US. As a Controls Operations Engineer, you will be using your skillset to ensure that fast-paced distribution facilities within KNAPP’s customer network are always running at full capacity, carrying out preventative and reactive work on state-of-the-art storage & retrieval, sortation and conveyance technology.

Your Responsibilities:
- Flexibility to work 12.5-hour shifts, either during the day or night, depending on site requirements (typically 7 PM – 7:30 AM), following a 2-2-3 'Panama' rotation pattern. Please note that shift arrangements may be adjusted in line with customer or site operational needs.
- Circa 70% travel to customer locations within the US.
- Diagnose faults across PLC logic, HMIs, sensors, VFDs and industrial networks such as Profinet.
- Coordinate with onsite maintenance teams and controls resources to support problem resolution.
- Providing exceptional maintenance support to the on-site customer’s installed systems.
- Maintain accurate tickets and technical documentation to support best practise and continuous improvement.
Your Experience:
- Degree educated from a relevant field – Automation/Mechatronics/Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience writing code, testing, troubleshooting, maintaining and commissioning PLCs.
- Knowledge of warehouse automation such as conveyors, storage & retrieval systems, sortation equipment and small robotics.
- Experience working within a high pressurized maintenance environment.
- Experience carrying out Root Cause Analysis using a known methodology.
- Must possess strong English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively when speaking, reading, and writing.
- Eligibility to work in the USA.
