We are seeking an Automation & Engineering Support Engineer to join a growing manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for supporting automation projects, developing and implementing robotic solutions, maintaining engineering documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically strong, and comfortable working closely with production personnel, maintenance teams, and engineering staff in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support automation and continuous improvement projects across manufacturing operations.
- Assist with the development, programming, integration, and troubleshooting of industrial and collaborative robots (Cobots).
- Create, modify, and maintain mechanical designs, drawings, and models using SolidWorks.
- Develop and update engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical records.
- Support equipment, tooling, and automation initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Generate reports, project updates, and technical documentation using Microsoft Office tools.
- Participate in process optimization efforts aimed at improving productivity, quality, and safety.
- Assist with equipment validation, testing, and process improvements.
- Support engineering change activities and ensure documentation accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in automation, manufacturing, or a related engineering environment.
- Experience working with industrial robots and/or collaborative robots (Cobots).
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced reporting and data management.
- Experience working directly with production and technical personnel.
- Intermediate to advanced English communication skills.
- U.S. tourist visa
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the SolidWorks Sheet Metal module.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Experience with welding robots.
- Familiarity with ABB robots or similar automation platforms.
- Experience in machining or metal-mechanical manufacturing environments.
- Ability to support multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
