Job Title: Plant Head for Wiring Harness Manufacturing Plant (Greenfield Project)

Company Overview: UKB Electronics Limited is a leading player in the automotive wiring harness industry, committed to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions. As a part of our strategic expansion, we are launching a greenfield project for a new wiring harness plant in Querétaro and are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Head to lead this initiative.
Job Summary: The Plant Head will oversee the establishment, management, and operational excellence of the small wiring harness plant. This role involves strategic planning, project management, team leadership, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in the wiring harness or automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead the plant setup from inception to operational status, including facility design, equipment procurement, and production planning.
- Operational Leadership: Drive operational efficiency, overseeing all aspects of production, including scheduling, quality control, workforce management, and inventory management.
- Team Management: Build, mentor, and lead a skilled workforce, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality benchmarks, implementing quality control measures to minimize defects and enhance product reliability.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the plant budget, tracking costs and implementing cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely and efficient material flow and production schedules.
- Safety Management: Promote a robust safety culture, ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and practices within the plant.
- Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular updates to senior management on plant performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience; MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 3 years in leadership roles within the wiring harness or automotive sector.
- Proven track record of managing greenfield projects and leading teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, quality management systems, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
