Position Summary
ABclonal Technology is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Field Application Scientist (FAS) to support the growth of our business throughout Mexico. The successful candidate will serve as a technical expert and trusted scientific advisor, working closely with customers, distributors, and the sales team to promote and support ABclonal's portfolio of life science products.
The Field Application Scientist will play a critical role in customer engagement, technical training, application support, and business development activities across the Mexican territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and scientific expertise during customer visits, product demonstrations, seminars, and presentations.
- Conduct client/lab visits 3 days a week, either independently or alongside the sales team and distribution partners, to support business development and strengthen customer relationships.
- Collaborate with the distribution partner’s sales team to identify new business opportunities and support customer acquisition efforts throughout Mexico.
- Deliver product training and application support for antibodies, proteins, ELISA kits, molecular biology reagents, and other ABclonal product lines.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key researchers, laboratory personnel, academic institutions, biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical organizations, and clinical laboratories.
- Address technical inquiries and provide troubleshooting support to customers and distributors.
- Conduct product seminars, workshops, and scientific presentations to increase product awareness and adoption.
- Participate in conferences, trade shows, and scientific events throughout Mexico.
- Gather market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive information to support commercial strategy and product development initiatives.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management teams to ensure alignment of technical messaging and customer needs.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related life science discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Field Applications, Technical Support, Product Specialist, Research, or related scientific roles within the life sciences industry.
- Strong knowledge of antibodies, recombinant proteins, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry, qPCR, NGS, and related applications.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience supporting distributors and commercial sales teams is preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout Mexico.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the biotechnology, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries.
- Experience conducting scientific training programs and customer workshops.
- Knowledge of the Mexican research, academic, and clinical laboratory markets.

Up to 60–70% travel within Mexico.
