Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesExpert-Level Troubleshooting:
- Lead the resolution of critical and complex network outages and impairments.
- Develop and execute advanced troubleshooting methodologies for recurring issues.
- Perform forensic analysis of network events to prevent future occurrences.
Strategic Planning and Implementation:
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement network improvements.
- Evaluate new technologies and tools for potential integration into the network.
- Oversee the deployment and testing of new equipment and systems.
Leadership and Consultation:
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Tier I and Tier II teams.
- Provide consultation to customers, field teams, and senior management.
- Author comprehensive documentation, including technical guides and incident reports.
Network Health and Performance:
- Lead efforts to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.
- Develop and implement proactive measures to minimize service interruptions.
- Analyze performance data to recommend long-term enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Networking, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in telecommunications or network operations.
- Extensive knowledge of Layer 1 technologies and network management systems.
- Proven expertise in leading technical teams and managing high-pressure scenarios.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
