Identify cost opportunities for the product lineup through industrial simplification and value engineering.
Lead comprehensive VAVE projects—including multi-site product line consolidations—developing test plans, overseeing testing, prioritizing, managing engineering document changes, and coordinating sample builds.
Evaluate components, materials, and processes for value improvement and manufacturing optimization.
Recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or processes.
Participate in and lead idea workshops and brainstorm sessions with cross-functional teams to generate cost reduction ideas.
Hands-on involvement in development engineering, concept and feasibility activities, prototyping, and testing.
Collaborate with international and cross-functional partners on high-impact value improvement projects.
Understand system-level interactions and failure modes to ensure product reliability.
Detailed design of components and subassemblies, including material selection, dimensions, and tolerances.
Communicate ideas using sketching, CAD layouts, 3D models, and working prototypes, utilizing 3D printing and digital fabrication techniques.
Continually evaluate, promote, and improve designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturing improvements, increased quality, and value.
Act as a Technical Lead, handling complex multi-task daily activities autonomously while guiding cross-functional operations.
Coordinate with technical support personnel for rapid prototyping and testing.
Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
Requires at least 3 years of experience in VAVE engineering and industrial simplification.
Requires at least 5 years of related experience in a manufacturing industry; preferably Sheetmetal design.
Written and spoken English fluency is required.
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science, technology, and value analysis tools and methods.
Proficient in design tools including DFMEA, GD&T, and Tolerance Stack-up.
Experience with analytical and CAD software (SolidWorks).
Proven project management experience, specifically in driving international manufacturing initiatives and product line transfers.
Strong communication skills and excellent multi-functional interaction across different facilities.
Strong presentation and verbal communication skills.
