Your Contribution:
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating suppliers to ensure compliance with organizational standards and customer requirements. You will ensure the uninterrupted flow of conforming materials to production lines, lead the follow-up and management of supplier problem-solving activities related to nonconforming materials, and drive effective corrective and preventive actions. You will actively support APQP and PPAP processes, collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives, improve supplier performance, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Serving as the MAHLE representative in the management and follow-up of external suppliers of direct materials.
Managing the quarantine area and supervising receiving inspection auditors.
Validating issues related to purchased components in production lines through problem-solving methodologies and statistical analysis.
Monitoring internal and external supplier-related rejections and quality concerns.
Analyzing and evaluating supplier corrective actions using the 8D methodology.
Managing supplier escalation processes, including Controlled Shipping Level 1 (CSL1) and Controlled Shipping Level 2 (CSL2).
Administering cost recovery activities associated with supplier quality issues.
Evaluating and approving or rejecting PPAP submissions for new projects and engineering changes.
Executing annual requalification plans and supporting IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 audits.
Participating in new product launches through APQP and PPAP activities to ensure supplier readiness and compliance with quality requirements.
Your Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum B2 English proficiency level.
At least 1 year of experience in Supplier Quality or a similar role within the automotive industry.
Knowledge of Core Tools, including APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, and FMEA.
Experience in problem-solving and root cause analysis using the 8D methodology.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Experience using SAP.Knowledge of automotive industry standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, etc.).
Proficiency in Minitab for statistical analysis and process improvement.
