About the role:
Serve as the strategic business partner and primary liaison between business functions (Finance and Commercial) and Technology, translating operational needs into value-driven solutions within SAP S/4HANA. This role is responsible for maximizing the return on technology investments through the development of business cases, the design of efficient system integrations (APIs), and the management of support service providers to ensure business continuity, operational excellence, and the ongoing evolution of business capabilities.
Role responsibilities:
Strategic Business Partner: Serve as the key liaison between Finance (FI), Sales (SD), and Technology teams, balancing the needs and priorities of multiple stakeholders to translate business requirements into viable S/4HANA functional and technical specifications. Facilitate effective communication across teams, leveraging strong business acumen to align objectives and drive successful outcomes.
Value Management: Develop, analyze, and present business cases to assess the financial and strategic viability of new initiatives, utilizing data analytics, quantitative insights, and executive-level storytelling to clearly communicate expected business impact, support decision-making, and secure stakeholder alignment.
Integration Architecture: Design and oversee the integration strategy between S/4HANA and external systems (Banks, CRM, SAT), defining scalable architectures, processes, and technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency, business continuity, and long-term digital transformation. Apply process and systems design expertise to ensure seamless interoperability across the technology ecosystem.
Vendor & Project Management: Lead and coordinate technology vendors, external support teams, and software development partners, ensuring compliance with service level agreements, quality standards, project timelines, and deliverables through strong project management practices, effective stakeholder coordination, and clear communication.
Data Analytics & Business Intelligence: Define and drive the Business Intelligence and financial/commercial reporting strategy, leveraging advanced analytical tools, quantitative methodologies, and emerging technologies to generate reliable business insights, identify improvement opportunities, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Apply a tech-savvy mindset to continuously enhance reporting capabilities and analytics solutions.
Exprience, Skills & Qualifications
Essentials:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP Consulting, IT Business Partner, or IT Project Management roles.
SAP S/4HANA Expertise: Advanced functional knowledge of FI (Finance) and SD (Sales & Distribution) modules. Strong understanding of the end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) process is required.
Demonstrated ability to develop business cases, perform cost-benefit analyses, and interpret basic financial statements to support investment and business decisions.
Experience with the conceptual and technical design of system interfaces and APIs (REST/SOAP) to enable integration between enterprise platforms.
Proven experience managing external vendors, project timelines, budgets, and service delivery.
Advanced English (C1): Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with global stakeholders and work with technical documentation.
Desirable:
Business Intelligence Tools: Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or SAP Analytics Cloud.
In-depth knowledge of Mexican Electronic Invoicing regulations, including CFDI 4.0 and payment complements.
Certifications in SAP S/4HANA, PMP (Project Management Professional), or Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
Basic ABAP code reading and debugging skills, as well as intermediate SQL query knowledge.
