We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to lead maintenance operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of production equipment and facility infrastructure while driving safety, quality, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, team leadership, strategic project execution, and cost management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
- Ensure the reliability and availability of production equipment and plant infrastructure.
- Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, occupational health, and quality standards.
- Monitor and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement planned maintenance programs focused on equipment reliability.
- Analyze equipment failures, downtime, and operational losses, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage the annual maintenance budget and departmental conversion costs.
- Lead continuous improvement, cost reduction, and process optimization initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend capital investments related to equipment and facility infrastructure.
- Coordinate activities with Production, Engineering, Quality, and EHS teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Manage contractors and specialized service providers.
- Develop, coach, and strengthen the technical and leadership capabilities of the maintenance team.
- Promote a results-driven culture focused on continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration.
RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- Strong industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience leading maintenance teams.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production operations.
- Experience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
- Participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of management systems and regulatory compliance requirements.
