Principal Software Engineer role in a global organization focused on designing resilient enterprise solutions using Core Java and SQL WAS/TOMEE/Linux/DB2 for complex business platforms in a hybrid work environment within day shifts. Responsibilities
Domain Experience-Travel
Design and implement robust Core Java applications that handle complex business workflows and large data volumes while maintaining high reliability and performance standards
Develop efficient SQL queries and database schemas that ensure optimized data retrieval and storage for critical transactional and analytical systems
Architect modular and reusable software components that support long term maintainability and simplify future enhancements across multiple enterprise applications
Collaborate with cross functional engineering and product teams to translate business needs into detailed technical designs that deliver clear and measurable outcomes
Review and refine code contributions from other engineers to uphold secure coding practices consistency and adherence to internal engineering guidelines
Optimize existing services and data access layers by identifying performance bottlenecks and applying tuning techniques that improve response times and resource usage
Create detailed technical documentation that describes system design decisions data models integration patterns and operational procedures for ongoing support
Guide peers in adopting modern Core Java patterns libraries and testing practices that improve code quality reliability and ease of maintenance across services
Coordinate with quality engineering partners to define comprehensive test strategies that include unit integration and regression coverage for critical functionalities
Support production environments by analyzing incidents identifying root causes and implementing durable fixes that prevent recurrence and enhance system stability
Collaborate with cloud and infrastructure teams to align application deployment configurations with organizational standards for security scalability and observability
Drive continuous improvement by introducing tools and processes that enhance developer productivity code review efficiency and overall delivery cycle time
Ensure compliance with data governance and security controls by applying appropriate validation access control and logging practices in Core Java and SQL implementations
Qualifications
Demonstrate extensive hands on experience of more than a decade working with Core Java to build enterprise grade services frameworks and backend components
Exhibit strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries designing normalized schemas and tuning databases to support high volume transactional systems
Apply deep understanding of object oriented design design patterns and clean code principles to create maintainable solutions that reduce technical debt
Use experience with frameworks in the Java ecosystem such as dependency injection and persistence libraries to streamline development and integration work
Bring practical exposure to automated testing using unit and integration testing tools that help maintain reliability through frequent releases
Show familiarity with version control practices code branching strategies and code review workflows that support collaborative development in distributed teams
Demonstrate experience working in hybrid work environments using collaboration tools to coordinate effectively with stakeholders and engineering partners
Prefer exposure to performance tuning of Java applications and SQL databases to ensure stable response times for critical business operations
Prefer familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices that support safe and predictable deployments within enterprise environments
