Job Description
The Quality Assurance Engineer will ensure that products across all platforms are released to production with an excellent level of quality.
Analyzing product features to build a testing plan. Building testing cases to identify software issues with haste & identifying, isolating, and tracking errors in the systems.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure software functionality meets requirements.
- Design and maintain automated test frameworks for web, mobile and API testing.
- Perform API testing and validation of backend services.
- Integrate automated test into CI/CD pipelines to enable continues testing.
- Document test results, performance metrics, and defects found during testing.
- Coordinate testing, Identify procedures and scenarios of new development requests.
- Collaborate with development, product, and design teams to ensure requirements are testable and understood.
- Communicate quantitative and qualitative findings from test results to the development team
- Monitor efforts to resolve product issues and track progress to ensure that the final product satisfies the product requirements and meet end-user expectations.
- Investigate customer complaints and product issues as well as spot areas for improvement to enhance the product's efficiency
- Serve as QA Engineer for the Salesforce.com, Bubo mobile and web applications, ICON applications, and other AWS and Microsoft solutions and environments as assigned.
- Work with our institutional management team to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities.
- Assist in walking users through UAT testing as needed.
- Work independently with members of the IT team to define and document testing requirements.
Qualifications
- 4-5 years of experience in automation software testing (web and mobile).
- Familiarity with both manual and automated testing processes.
- Knowledge of QA methodologies (e.g., Agile Testing, Regression Testing, Exploratory).
- Hands on experience with automation testing playwright, Cypress, selenium or similar.
- Strong experience in API Testing (Postman, REST API, Soap)
- Experience working with CI/CD tools (Git, GitHub, Jenkings)
- Extensive experience in software quality assurance.
- Keen attention to detail
- Flexible and adaptable in dynamic environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Accustomed to achieving objectives in dynamic, high-pressure organizations.
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Understand of SDLC, release management and deployment Best Practices.
Other Requirements or Competencies
- Excellent time management skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, translate requirements from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
- Knowledge of web applications and mobile application QA is a plus.
