About the Role:<ul><li>- Monitor changes in tax statutes, regulations, legislative activity, court decisions, forms, and official publications.</li><li>- Communicate with tax authorities to clarify requirements and support compliant content.</li><li>Content implementation and testing</li><li>- Execute content implementation and updates within our applications, delivering to established content deadlines.</li><li>- Design and execute testing procedures to verify content accuracy and software functionality; document results and verify fixes.</li><li>Requirements and systems analysis</li><li>- Independently gather and document customer regulatory needs, translating them into testable requirements and user stories.</li><li>- Liaise with customers and internal teams to define workflows and acceptance criteria; support Agile delivery, SDLC processes, change management, and testing/implementation.</li><li>Collaboration and communication</li><li>- Translate tax requirements into effective software solutions and seamless content integration.</li><li>- Communicate with tax authorities as needed to clarify requirements and support compliance.</li><li>- Support internal stakeholders and Customer Support with research and responses to client inquiries.</li><li>Project Contribution</li><li>- Manage your deliverables reliably; provide timely status, flag risks early, and support content initiatives of moderate scope.</li><li>- Identify and contribute to process improvements that enhance quality and efficiency.</li><li>Essential Skills</li><li>Tax compliance, analytical, and problem-solving</li><li>- Applies foundational tax knowledge to varied scenarios; identifies and resolves moderately complex issues with sound judgement.</li><li>- Researches straightforward to moderately complex tax issues; interprets guidance, assesses impact, and recommends complaint solutions.</li><li>- Uses structured analysis to test assumptions and clearly communicate tradeoffs.</li><li>Research and technology</li><li>- Proficient with tax compliance software (e.g., ONESOURCE, GoSystem Tax, UltraTax) and research platforms (e.g., Checkpoint, government databases).</li><li>- Working knowledge of data structures/formats (e.g., CSV, XML, SQL); comfortable modeling calculations or requirements for development.</li><li>- Demonstrates strong technical skills across tools—including emerging technologies such as automation and AI-assisted features—to improve productivity and accuracy.</li><li>- Uses AI and productivity tools responsibly to increase efficiency; validates outputs and documents sources.</li><li>- Adapts quickly to new tools, workflows, and ways of working; willingly takes on new project types and shifting priorities.</li><li>Communication and collaboration</li><li>- Communicates tax results to technical and non-technical audiences; tailors messaging to stakeholders and builds shared understanding.</li><li>- Works cross-functionally, coordinates tasks, and helps resolve minor conflicts constructively.</li><li>Organization and ownership</li><li>- Independently organizes workload, prioritizes multiple assignments, and consistently meets strict deadlines.</li><li>- Owns outcomes for a defined area end-to-end; communicates status and issues transparently.</li><li>Customer focus and quality</li><li>- Anticipates customer needs within scope; translates feedback into improvements.</li><li>- Follows QA standards, creates test cases, verifies fixes, and tracks quality metrics.</li></ul> About You: <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Computer Science required.</li><li>Hands-on experience in tax preparation/compliance or developing tax-related content (e.g., corporate income tax, U.S. international tax, sales and use tax, VAT) preferred.</li><li>CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) credentials preferred (or progress toward them).</li></ul>#LI-ZM1 What’s in it For You?<ul><li>Hybrid Work Model: We’ve adopted a flexible hybrid working environment (2-3 days a week in the office depending on the role) for our office-based roles while delivering a seamless experience that is digitally and physically connected.</li><li>Flexibility & Work-Life Balance: Flex My Way is a set of supportive workplace policies designed to help manage personal and professional responsibilities, whether caring for family, giving back to the community, or finding time to refresh and reset.
