Chemours is seeking a Manufacturing Technology Manager to join our industry-leading Titanium Technologies (TT) business! This position will report directly to the Technology Senior Director and is located at the Chemours Titanium Technologies facility in Altamira, Mexico.
This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the Technology function for Chemours Titanium Technologies. This role leads a team of approximately 15 employees focused on process technology breakthrough innovations and supporting our world-class operations team. Through collaboration with TT leadership and a deep understanding of the business, this role must foster a world-class operational culture and capitalize on any improvement opportunities to enable safe operation while minimize manufacturing costs.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Building a winning innovation culture capable of delivering on short and medium-range technology projects and improvements to achieve the lowest costs of manufacturing.
- Supporting the plant operations team through day-to-day manufacturing technical support
- Provide direct line management and career development for a team of engineers and chemists fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Collaborate with Titanium Technologies sites in the U.S. to leverage technology developments across the manufacturing circuit
- Develop and execute staffing and hiring plans for a diverse set of technical competencies including process engineers, chemists, analyzer technologists, etc.
- Works closely with operations leadership to set clear goals (safety, asset productivity and quality), deploy resources, and manage performance expectations for team members.
- Cultivate a positive work environment that motivates team members.
- Recognize and reward teams accomplishments and contributions to maintain high morale and engagement.
- Generates and manages a portfolio of projects that is consistent with plant and business strategy and covers all time horizons.
- Member of the circuit Technology Staff and Plant Leadership staff
- Network with peers and leverage knowledge from other functions and corporate groups
The following is required for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineer
- Full Professional Proficiency in English required
- Experience in an industrial setting
- Self-managing, proactive with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership capability – personnel development, leading teams, resolving conflict, and sound judgment
- Demonstrated ability to teach, coach, mentor, and develop others
The following is preferred for this role:
- 5+ years of supervisory experience
- Experience with highly toxic materials and/or high hazards processes
- Six Sigma greenbelt certification or formal training in statistical analysis
- Working knowledge of data analytics and statistics using tools like 6-Sigma, python, Power BI, Alteryx or process industry specific time-series analysis tools
- Technical Experience as Engineer or Chemist at a manufacturing facility
