At Nidec, we are looking for an NPI Process Engineer to join our New Product Introduction (NPI) team. This role is crucial for configuring and optimizing manufacturing systems to ensure that our processes are efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective when introducing new products. The position will be responsible for coordinating everything from equipment installation to process validation, working closely with engineering and production teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the new product introduction process from design to implementation.
- Develop work instructions and process documents.
- Implement innovative solutions and continuous improvement in production.
- Optimize process capability and production volume while maintaining high quality standards.
- Conduct process and quality control analysis, including PFMEA, Control Plan, Cpk, and Ppk.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing.
- Work on automating processes using PLCs, sensors, and hydraulic systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards (ISO 14001).
- Collaborate with multifunctional teams to resolve issues and conduct root cause analysis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Intermediate/advanced English (at least 80%).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of process management tools like PFMEA, Control Plan, DOE, and SPC.
- Experience with PLC, vision systems, and process automation (Keyence experience preferred).
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.
