About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Analyst to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all incoming revenue. You will play a critical role in verifying that all services rendered are properly reconciled with payments received, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring no revenue is lost or unaccounted for.
This position collaborates closely with Billing, Operations, and Clinical teams to maintain financial accuracy and support overall organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily and monthly deposit verification to ensure all funds received are accurately reflected in bank accounts
- Reconcile payments received against claims submitted and sessions conducted
- Cross-check clinical activity (sessions held) with payments to ensure full revenue capture
- Identify, track, and report missing payments, unpaid sessions, and underpayments
- Maintain organized and detailed reports on revenue discrepancies and outstanding balances
- Accurately manage manual payment entries in financial systems
- Investigate discrepancies, including billing errors, payment issues, or potential fraud
- Collaborate with Billing and Intake teams to resolve payment issues and prevent future discrepancies
- Monitor trends in payment delays or denials and escalate recurring issues
- Support audits and ensure compliance with internal financial controls and procedures
Compliance & Risk Management
- Handle sensitive financial and patient information with strict confidentiality
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and applicable data privacy regulations
- Follow internal controls to safeguard against financial discrepancies, misuse, or fraud
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, healthcare billing, or revenue cycle management
- Strong understanding of payment reconciliation and financial reporting
- Experience with insurance claims, reimbursements, and healthcare billing processes preferred
- Advanced attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar reporting tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
