We are looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to serve as an embedded strategic people partner for our Guadalajara organization. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that sits at the intersection of Mexico HR operations and cross-border people strategy. You will own the full employee lifecycle for our GDL team, act as a trusted advisor to local leaders and managers, and ensure our people practices are both locally compliant and globally aligned.
You'll also serve as the primary HR coordination point between Guadalajara and our U.S.-based HR leadership — helping bridge policy, compensation, culture, and workforce planning across geographies. The right person for this role is a confident, credible HR professional who thrives in a fast-moving tech environment, builds trust quickly with leaders and employees alike, and brings deep expertise in Mexican labor law without losing sight of the business.
Strategic HR Partnership
- Serve as the primary HR partner to Guadalajara-based business leaders and managers across all functions
- Translate business objectives into people strategies that support growth, retention, and high performance
- Participate in leadership team meetings and provide data-driven HR insights to inform decision-making
- Partner with U.S. HR leads on cross-border workforce planning, org design, and policy alignment
Employee Relations & Culture
- Manage employee relations matters end-to-end — including investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans
- Serve as a trusted, accessible resource for employees navigating workplace concerns, conflicts, or accommodation requests
- Champion an inclusive, high-performance culture consistent with Bizee's values and ways of working
- Lead or support employee engagement initiatives and action planning based on survey results
Talent & Performance Management
- Guide managers through Bizee's performance management cycle — goal-setting, mid-year check-ins, year-end reviews, and calibration
- Coach managers on effective feedback delivery, difficult conversations, and team leadership
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on Mexico-based recruiting, offer structuring, and onboarding experience
- Support succession planning and talent review processes for the Guadalajara organization
Mexico HR Compliance & Operations
- Ensure all people practices, policies, and processes comply with Mexico Federal Labor Law (Ley Federal del Trabajo) and applicable local regulations
- Oversee local separation and termination processes, including proper documentation, liquidation calculations, and required notifications
- Partner with the local PEO and/or payroll provider on HR administration, benefits enrollment, and workforce changes
- Evaluate and evolve our employment model in Mexico as the company scales, ensuring any changes protect both business continuity and employee experience.
- Maintain accurate HR records and support any audits or regulatory inquiries as needed
- Develop and update Mexico-specific HR policies and ensure alignment with company-wide handbooks and frameworks
Cross-Border HR Coordination
- Collaborate with U.S. HR and People leadership to ensure consistency in programs, job architecture, compensation structures, and total rewards across geographies
- Serve as the go-to subject matter expert on Mexico employment law and practices for U.S.-based stakeholders
- Contribute a Mexico lens to global HR initiatives — including compensation benchmarking, HRIS configuration, and policy rollouts
- Help build scalable HR infrastructure as the GDL team continues to grow
Requirements
7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in an HRBP or senior HR Generalist role- Deep, current knowledge of Mexico Federal Labor Law (LFT), IMSS, INFONAVIT, and local compliance requirements
- Proven track record managing complex employee relations matters, including investigations and separations, in a Mexico context
- Experience partnering with and influencing senior business leaders as a credible, strategic HR advisor
- Fluent in both Spanish and English — strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth tech company with evolving priorities and ambiguity
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and ability to use data to support HR strategy and reporting
Preferred
- Prior experience supporting a U.S.-headquartered technology company with a significant Mexico-based workforce
- Familiarity with PEO models or outsourced HR administration in Mexico
- Background in compensation benchmarking, job leveling, and total rewards design
- Experience with engagement platforms (e.g., Culture Amp, Lattice) and performance management tools
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field
- HR certification (SHRM-SCP, HRCI, or Mexico-equivalent) a plus

- You've led or contributed to at least one significant people program (engagement, onboarding, performance, or DEI) with measurable outcomes
- Compensation and leveling structures are aligned and well-understood by the GDL team
