As the Field Service Engineer , you will provide specialized technical field service for JBT Marel Food & Dairy line equipment, ensuring proper operation through maintenance, installation, diagnostics, and repair, with a focus on customer satisfaction and compliance with quality and safety standards.
You will report directly to the Supervisor of Field Service and you will be required to travel frequently (approximately 80% of the time).
On a given day, you might find yourself:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance services on installed equipment.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and unplanned service calls with immediate availability.
- Carry out equipment installation and commissioning at customer sites.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues.
- Provide technical guidance and support to customers during services and projects.
- Train customer personnel in the operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Interpret technical manuals and documentation for proper service execution.
- Prepare technical reports, service sheets, and track time and expenses in a timely manner.
- Provide remote support for troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related field).
- Ability to travel frequently
- English B1 or B2
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Passport
- VISA (Highly desirable)
- Experience in field service, preferably in the food industry.
- Solid knowledge of mechanics.
- Basic knowledge of electricity and electronics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
