Discover Your Purpose: Role Summary
Join our highly energetic global Audit team as a Senior Internal Auditor, where you will conduct periodic financial and operational reviews of Colgate-Palmolive subsidiaries and affiliates worldwide. Reporting to senior audit management, you will provide critical assurance to Management and the Audit Committee while traveling internationally to partner with diverse global teams. This exciting opportunity allows you to drive compliance, assess risks, and directly influence internal controls across a world-class organization.
Your Impact: Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end audit engagements, including data analysis, risk assessments, and audit planning, ensuring all testing is executed in compliance with departmental standards.
- Own stakeholder communication by preparing agendas, leading audit meetings, and drafting high-quality audit reports for senior management review.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and timely on-the-job training to staff auditors to ensure alignment with audit programs and quality metrics.
- Identify process improvements and actively facilitate the resolution of operational issues or roadblocks that impact team performance.
- Execute special compliance reviews, digital productivity projects, and strategic assignments as directed by senior leadership.
Skills That Make Us Smile: Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- 4+ years of relevant experience within financial, corporate, or public accounting environments.
- Advanced English level.
- Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like SAP and core business tools such as Google Suite or Microsoft Office.
- Availability and willingness to travel internationally up to 70% of the time.
Brighten Your Potential: Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or equivalent.
- Prior experience working within a Big Four or large public accounting firm.
- Demonstrated capability leveraging data analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, or DOMO reporting to optimize workflows and enhance team productivity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the maturity and confidence to lead effective discussions with senior management.
- Deep functional understanding of regulatory frameworks, financial processes, and internal controls (such as GAAP or SOX).
