- Review monthly IMSS, INFONAVIT, SAR and retirement-related contribution calculations, filings and payments, and reconcile them with payroll and accounting records.
- Review the correct determination of the Salario Base de Cotización, including fixed and variable compensation, bonuses, commissions, overtime, employee benefits and other payroll components.
- Review employee registrations, terminations, salary modifications, disabilities, occupational risks and other employee movements reported through SUA, IDSE and relevant government platforms.
- Review payroll-related tax compliance, including employee income tax withholding, payroll CFDIs, taxable and exempt compensation, state payroll tax and payroll reconciliations.
- Review the tax and social security treatment of employee benefits, including food vouchers, savings funds, bonuses, overtime, vacation premiums, Aguinaldo, severance and termination payments.
- Coordinate and review the annual PTU calculation and distribution process, including the profit-sharing base, employee eligibility, working days, salary information, allocation criteria, statutory limits and supporting documentation.
- Perform periodic internal reviews of social security, payroll tax, employee benefit and labor-related financial compliance, identify risks and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
- Review compliance related to specialized service providers and contractors, including REPSE, ICSOE, SISUB and required supporting documentation.
- Coordinate responses to IMSS, INFONAVIT, state payroll tax and labor-related authority reviews, and follow up on observations raised by government authorities or external advisors.
- Monitor regulatory changes and prepare periodic compliance and risk reports for the Finance Director, including identified exposures, required actions and implementation status.
Candidate Profile
· Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Labor Relations or a related discipline.
· Four to six years of relevant professional experience.
· Strong practical experience in Mexican social security, payroll tax or labor-related financial compliance.
· Previous experience in a social security consulting firm, payroll advisory firm, accounting firm, Big Four People Advisory practice or corporate payroll compliance function is strongly preferred.
· Experience in a manufacturing company with a large employee population is strongly preferred.
· Solid knowledge of IMSS, INFONAVIT, SAR, retirement contributions and state payroll tax.
· Strong practical knowledge of Salario Base de Cotización integration.
· Experience reviewing payroll CFDIs, employee income tax withholding and taxable or exempt employee benefits.
· Familiarity with SUA, IDSE, SIPARE, IMSS Digital and INFONAVIT platforms.
· Practical knowledge of PTU calculations and related employee eligibility requirements.
· Knowledge of REPSE, ICSOE and SISUB compliance is desirable.
· Experience supporting IMSS, INFONAVIT or payroll tax audits is strongly preferred.
· Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
· Experience with payroll systems and ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred.
· Intermediate English is desirable but is not mandatory.
· Ability to manage multiple statutory deadlines and maintain complete compliance documentation.
