We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage / Telecommunications Estimator to prepare accurate estimates for structured cabling, telecommunications, security, access control, audio-visual, and related low-voltage systems for commercial construction projects.
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor and material estimates.
- Prepare bills of materials (BOMs), vendor comparisons, and project proposals.
- Identify scope gaps, conflicts, and change order opportunities.
- Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, and project teams.
- Ensure estimates align with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Experience estimating low-voltage, telecommunications, or structured cabling projects.
- Ability to read architectural, electrical, telecom, security, and AV drawings.
- Knowledge of NEC requirements related to telecommunications systems.
- Familiarity with ANSI/TIA, BICSI, and industry standards.
- Experience with copper and fiber optic cabling systems.
- Knowledge of data networks, security systems, access control, AV systems, and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Experience with pathway systems including cable tray, conduit, ladder rack, and J-hooks.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Accubid, ConEst, OST, PlanSwift, and/or Excel.
- BICSI certification (RCDD preferred).
- Experience with manufacturers such as CommScope, Corning, Panduit, Belden, Leviton, Siemon, or Hubbell.
- Experience estimating projects in commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, government, or data center environments.
