- Define, document, and release assembly and manufacturing processes during product development, NPI, and line transfer
- Partner with Product Development Engineering to influence design decisions through DFM and DFA input
- Develop, standardize, and validate crimping processes including press and applicator setup parameters
- Execute and document crimp validation activities (crimp height, pull force, microsections)
- Provide hands-on technical leadership during line ramp-up and sustaining production
- Troubleshoot process-related issues including crimp defects, deformation, gaps, and assembly variation
- Support cycle time optimization and line balancing from a process capability perspective
- Provide technical input and countermeasures to PFMEA and Control Plans
- Introduce fixtures, assembly jigs, and process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and repeatability
- Support rework method development and validation from a process standpoint
- Lead root-cause analysis and structured problem solving for assembly line issues
- Participate in sample builds, First Article, and transfer validation activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or ManufacturingEngineering
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering (connectors or cable assemblies preferred)
- Strong hands-on experience with crimping processes and press/applicator setup
- Experience supporting product development, production line ramp-up, or manufacturing transfers
- Practical experience contributing to DFM and DFA activities for similar products
