JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, Payment Deployment Solutions, Digital + Technology Transformation (DTT), Caribbean & Latin America (CALA),
Global Technology, is a key member of the CALA deployment organization supporting the deployment of OPERA Cloud across the
region, with a primary focus on payment solutions across multiple gateways and providers. This position supports the end-to-end
payment deployment lifecycle across integrated, multi-gateway, and standalone scenarios, partnering with hotels, internal teams,
and external payment partners to ensure solutions are operationally viable, aligned with deployment timelines, and ready for cutover,
go-live, and stabilization. The role includes hands-on enablement where needed—supporting deployment preparation activities such
as middleware and tooling alignment, workstation and terminal readiness, package validation, access enablement, and issue
triage—while driving structured follow-up and escalation across stakeholders to support successful deployment execution.
.
Key responsibilities:
Multi-Provider Payment Deployment Strategy + Execution: Leads the CALA payment deployment approach for OPERA Cloud across multiple payment providers and gateway models, ensuring consistent execution across integrated, multi-gateway, and standalone solutions
End-to-End Payment Readiness & Stabilization: Drives payment deployment execution across the full lifecycle by coordinating requirements, dependencies, testing activities, and stakeholder follow-up; supports go-live and hypercare by tracking, prioritizing, and escalating issues impacting payment continuity.
Hands-On Deployment Enablement: Provides practical support for deployment enablement activities such as package validation, uninstall/reinstall considerations, workstation/terminal readiness, and coordination of prerequisite access/permissions required for successful execution.
Provider Onboarding / Configuration Readiness Coordination: Coordinates provider onboarding and configuration processes , including ensuring required property inputs are collected/validated, timelines are met, and required documentation and validation steps
are completed prior to cutover.
Finance / Property Access Enablement (Standalone & Multi-Gateway): Partners with Finance and property stakeholders to enable required portal access and required operational steps for property users in standalone and multi-gateway scenarios.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3+ years of relevant experience in hospitality payments, payment gateways, payment integrations, or
deployment/implementation environments
- 2+ years experience with Opera PMS on-premise and/or Opera Cloud PMS
- Experience supporting multi-property / multi-country deployments
Experience with payment integration frameworks such as Oracle Payment Interface (OPI) and partner ecosystems
(tokenization, validated partners, standardized interfaces)
Experience coordinating across vendors and internal stakeholders to drive deployment execution, testing coordination
and issue resolution toward deployment milestones
- Fluent English and Spanish required; Portuguese preferred
Preferred Skills (Technical / Functional)
- Strong understanding of hospitality payment transaction flows (e.g., authorization, incremental/top-up, capture/sale completion, voids/refunds) in Oracle Payment Interface (OPI)-enabled environments.
- Experience supporting or coordinating implementations involving Oracle OPI and EFT interfaces, including partner connectivity models and operational considerations in hotel environments
- Comfort with common integration concepts frequently required for OPI/EFT deployments (e.g., endpoint connectivity, certificates, IP/port configuration).
- Practical Windows deployment and troubleshooting fundamentals relevant to payment tooling and local components (install/upgrade validation mindset; services/logs concepts), recognizing that vendor toolsets may vary.
- Ability to support deployment activities tied to payment enablement (package validation/testing coordination, workstation/terminal alignment, and cutover tracking).
- Understanding of payments security principles (e.g., tokenization and approaches that reduce PCI scope) and the operational impact of payment disruptions at go-live.
