Fives Automatización México is looking for a Controls & Automation Engineering Coordinator with a strong technical background and strategic leadership skills to lead the development of automated industrial machinery.
Position Summary
Coordinate and provide technical leadership for Controls & Automation Engineering activities, ensuring the successful design, integration, commissioning, and implementation of automation systems according to project schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the design, development, programming, testing, and commissioning of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and industrial control systems.
- Provide technical leadership and support to Controls Engineers throughout project execution.
- Coordinate automation solutions for manufacturing applications, including assembly, testing, sealing, filling, robotic, and material handling systems.
- Lead the integration of PLC, HMI, robotics, vision, safety, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Coordinate the development and debugging of PLC and HMI applications according to company and customer standards.
- Support the integration of Cognex vision systems and industrial communication networks.
- Coordinate system debugging, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions during integration and commissioning.
- Review technical documentation, functional specifications, test plans, and commissioning deliverables.
- Coordinate equipment installation, startup, commissioning, customer acceptance, and production launch activities.
- Monitor project activities, priorities, resources, schedules, and technical deliverables.
- Collaborate with Project Management, Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics, Vision, and customers to ensure successful project execution.
- Promote engineering standards, best practices, and continuous improvement within the Controls & Automation team.
Technical Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Controls Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial automation and controls engineering.
- Strong experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs and Studio 5000.
- Experience with HMI systems, particularly PanelView Plus.
- Experience with Cognex vision systems and PLC integration.
- Experience with robotics and industrial automation systems.
- Experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer support.
- Experience leading or coordinating engineering activities and teams.
- English: Intermediate to Advanced level.
- Availability to travel.
