Self-motivated MRO Buyer to purchase materials, equipment, and services to meet our daily operation’s needs. The principal responsible to ensure obtain purchase requirements by verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders, follow up delivery, arrange materials in-house as required, verifies receipt of items, and authorizes payment. The buyer will work with staff across departments to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on the demand and re-order points.
Responsibilities
- Responsible quoting and purchasing for MRO materials, Equipment, tooling, and various services.
- Make purchases decisions in accordance with company procedures and regulations.
- Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list, clarifying unclear items.
- Determine the correct method to process purchases requisitions depending on total cost, timeline, competitive bidding and existing contracts.
- Create Purchase Order by verifying order quantity, price and order as per approved Purchase Request demand.
- Forwarding orders to supplier, monitoring and expediting orders.
- Review and track deliveries status against the orders.
- PO reschedule pull in, push out and cancellation follow up.
- Arrange goods transportation and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
Requirements
- Bilingual Spanish/English is required
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- + 3 years of experience in material MRO Sourcing or MRO Purchasing
- Knowledge of ERP system, SAP is preferred
