Responsible for the administration, planning, execution, and implementation of automation projects for material cost reduction, quality improvement, capacity increase, reduction of direct and indirect personnel, as well as improving the production process. Also, participate in the development of projects for remote plants in other countries. All quality-related activities must comply with the ISO 13485 standard. Responsible for monitoring compliance and delivery of training for the personnel under their charge. Coordinate automation projects, cost savings, continuous improvement with the teams from remote offices.
Additionally, lead and manage software development and integration projects aimed at process optimization and the adoption of emerging digital technologies, promoting standardization, innovation, visibility, and strategic impact through agile and collaborative solutions.
Project management from start to finish- Coordination of resources in the automation department (Automation Eng, Mechanical Eng, Sr Automation Eng, Automation Tech, etc.)
- Development and implementation of projects from initiation to final production
- Participation in the implementation of new processes/products
- Execution of continuous improvement projects
- Participation in the startup of Remote Plants
- Collaboration on activities/projects with Engineering/Maintenance
- Reduction of cycle time and increase in productivity in processes
- Coordination of external suppliers, analysis of project proposals, creation of purchase orders, timely follow-up on plans with external suppliers
- Coordination of legal contracts with external suppliers
- Other responsibilities may be assigned
- Report all relevant activities to the management team
- Control of the entire documentation package

- Participate in the development of suppliers for the manufacturing of new equipment
- Participate in the validation of new production lines
- Collaborate in the validation of new technologies

- International travel for project coordination and verification
- Participate in the selection and qualification of automation suppliers in conjunction with the Purchasing and Equipment/Machinery Acquisition team
- Establish work plans to achieve established goals
- Participation in the financial calculations of projects
Software:
- Coordinate delivery of software-related automation projects across cross-functional teams (local/global), ensuring clear ownership and timelines adherence.
- Translate software requirements into an executable plan (scope, milestones, dependencies, readiness/acceptance criteria) and maintain traceability as needed.
- Provide structured project visibility to management and stakeholders (status, risks, escalations, decisions needed, next steps).
- Identify and manage technical/operational risks and drive mitigation actions through the appropriate governance cadence.
- Ensure software activities follow applicable documentation, quality, security, and compliance requirements (including ISO 13485 where applicable).
Bachelor’s or Engineering degree completed in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. World-Class Manufacturing courses, experience in the Automation area within industrial environments.- Experience in a similar position

- 4-6 years of experience
- Experience in medical device manufacturing operations
- Desirable certifications: Green Belt and Lean Manufacturing, Scrum and/or Six Sigma
- Strong leadership, effective communication, and agile project management skills (Scrum/Kanban).
- Desirable knowledge of technologies such as with technologies: .NET, SQL Server/PostgreSQL, CI/CD, data acquisition & analysis, and Machine Learning applied to industrial processes.
- Certifications: Scrum, Six Sigma Green Belt.
