Overview:
About the Role & Team
IDC is looking for an experienced and driven Product Owner to take ownership of our global ZIP and Certify tools — two critical products that sit at the heart of our procurement workflows. You will be responsible for defining and delivering the product vision, managing the backlog, and working closely with engineering, design, and stakeholder teams to build features that delight users and meet business objectives. This is a hands-on, high-impact role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong analytical thinking, and has a genuine passion for building great, scalable tools.
What You’ll Do
-
Own and communicate the product vision and roadmap for the ZIP and Certify tools, aligning with wider business strategy.
-
Define success metrics for features and initiatives, tracking outcomes and iterating based on data.
-
Stay close to market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory requirements relevant to document certification and compression workflows.
-
Look to embrace AI at the heart of how we operate.
-
Maintain a well-groomed, prioritized backlog, writing clear and actionable user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
-
Plan and run sprint ceremonies including planning, reviews, and retrospectives in collaboration with the development team.
-
Balance competing priorities across feature development, technical debt, and compliance requirements.
-
Own the release process for ZIP and Certify features, including stakeholder communication and rollout planning.
-
Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders across operations and finance organisations.
-
Conduct regular discovery sessions, user interviews, and usability reviews to ensure the product meets evolving needs.
-
Present product updates, performance reviews, and strategic proposals to senior leadership.
-
Own audit procedures and participate in the annual financial audit.
-
Work closely with UX/design to ensure user experience is at the core of every feature decision.
-
Collaborating with engineering leads and support partners to assess technical feasibility and shape solutions.
-
Partner with QA to ensure features are thoroughly tested and defects are triaged effectively.
What You Bring
-
3+ years' experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, ideally in a B2B SaaS or enterprise software environment.
-
Proven track record of delivering end-to-end product features from discovery through to release.
-
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies with practical experience running sprints.
-
Excellent written English and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
-
Experience working with document management, compliance, or workflow automation tools is a strong advantage.
-
Data-driven mindset with the ability to define KPIs and use analytics to guide product decisions.
-
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, and product analytics platforms.
-
Exposure to source to pay and expense management tools.
-
Relevant certifications such as CSPO, CPO, or SAFe Product Owner.
-
Experience working in a platform or tooling team with a developer-facing product.
-
Have an open mindset with a can do attitude
