Job Description:

Schneider Electric is looking for a Senior Specialist, Plant Procurement Management to serve as the strategic procurement leader supporting one of our key manufacturing operations.
In this highly visible role, you will act as the primary connection between the plant and the procurement organization, ensuring sourcing strategies, supplier performance, risk management, and productivity initiatives support business growth, operational continuity, and profitability. You will work closely with plant leadership, engineering, supply chain, quality, finance, and suppliers to deliver sustainable value while supporting significant investments and expansion projects.
As the Plant Procurement leader, you will be responsible for executing procurement strategies that support production continuity, reduce risk, and drive productivity improvements across the site.
Key responsibilities include:

Serve as the primary Procurement representative within the plant and cluster leadership teams.

Execute sourcing and commercial strategies aligned with plant objectives, business growth, and operational priorities.

Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships to ensure quality, competitiveness, and supply continuity.

Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable commercial agreements and sustainable cost savings.

Drive supplier risk management initiatives to minimize disruptions and strengthen supply chain resilience.

Support plant profitability through productivity, cost optimization, and value improvement initiatives.

Partner with stakeholders across Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance to align procurement priorities.

Lead procurement activities supporting capital investments, plant expansions, and new production line implementations.

Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans when required.

Leverage procurement analytics and market insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

Ensure materials, equipment, and services are sourced effectively to support uninterrupted plant operations.

Advanced procurement negotiation and commercial acumen.

Strong supplier relationship management and supplier development capabilities.

Expertise in supply chain risk assessment and mitigation.

Experience driving productivity and cost reduction initiatives.

Strong project management skills within manufacturing environments.

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Professional training, certification, or demonstrated expertise in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management.

APICS certification is preferred.

Minimum 7 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Negotiation, and Supplier Development.

Proven experience managing procurement projects within manufacturing environments.

Strong track record of delivering cost savings, productivity improvements, and supplier performance enhancements.

Experience supporting manufacturing operations with critical supply continuity requirements.

Advanced English proficiency with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with global stakeholders and suppliers.

Strong understanding of balancing cost, quality, delivery, and risk considerations.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
This role offers exceptional visibility and influence within a manufacturing site undergoing significant growth and investment. You will play a critical role in protecting business continuity, strengthening supplier partnerships, supporting expansion projects, and driving sustainable productivity improvements.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to represent Procurement at both plant and cluster levels, work closely with key suppliers and leaders, and contribute directly to the long-term success of the operation.
