General Description
Coordinate and supervise material operations to ensure timely delivery to production lines, including receiving, storage, inventory control, material picking, and movement. Optimize the use of human and material resources through compliance with established processes, performance indicators, quality standards, safety requirements, and company policies.
Experience and Education
Preferably a Bachelor's Degree in Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position within the Maquiladora Industry.
Knowledge, Skills, and Certifications
SAP proficiency (materials and inventory modules).
Warehouse and inventory management and control.
Material planning and supply to production lines.
Management of internal logistics and materials KPIs.
Knowledge of FIFO, Kanban, cycle counting, and inventory control.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, and effective communication.
Knowledge of safety, quality, and continuous improvement (5S, Lean Manufacturing, and ISO 9001 preferred).
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise the timely and accurate receipt of materials (OTIF), ensuring physical and system compliance for storage (
Ensure the proper execution of the putaway process (P2000).
Maintain inventory control of warehouses (IRA).
Coordinate cycle count activities.
Ensure timely and accurate raw material deliveries to assembly or manufacturing lines.
Enforce health and safety guidelines among operational personnel.
Ensure compliance with established material management processes through continuous monitoring and LPA audits.
Conduct risk analyses of processes and establish containment, preventive, and corrective actions.
Implement continuous improvement actions to optimize logistics processes.
Monitor and improve area performance indicators (safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency).
Ensure the proper use of SAP for material and inventory movements.
Prepare operational reports and follow up on action plans.
Ensure compliance with the Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management System requirements applicable to the position.
