As a Powertrain Calibrartion Ford Champ, you will be responsible of development, testing, validation, and release of propulsion system calibrations for both Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) and electrified powertrains (xEV, FHEV, PHEV). It is designed to build foundational knowledge in vehicle performance, drivability, fuel economy, emissions, and On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) systems. Key responsibilities include assisting with software releases, participating in lab and real-world testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support continuous quality improvement.
What you´ll do:

Calibration & Integration: Assist in developing calibrations (combustion, emissions, OBD) and integrating complex powertrain features like NVH, shift quality, and thermal management.

Extreme-Environment Testing: Validate vehicle attributes on dynamometers, virtual simulators (HIL/SIL), and during exciting, real-world development trips in extreme climates and altitudes.

Software & Release Control: Coordinate critical software releases and manage part configurations across corporate database systems.

Cross-Functional Launch Support: Collaborate with controls, integration, and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot quality issues and ensure flawless vehicle launches.
What you´ll need:

Active student from any of the last 2 semesters of Automotive engineering, Mechatronics engineering or related

90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening)

Strong analytical and communication skills

Technical Foundation: Solid understanding of ICE theory and thermodynamics, combined with a passion for EV/HEV technology, basic programming (MATLAB/Simulink, Python), control systems, and vehicle networks (CAN/LIN).

Analytical Problem-Solving: A data-driven mindset eager to troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and calibration challenges using standard quality disciplines (DFMEA, DVP&R).

Agility & Continuous Learning: Highly coachable, innovative, and quick to master new technologies in a fast-paced environment under the mentorship of senior engineers.
