Quality Assurance Engineer
Responsible for ensuring product quality throughout the entire product development lifecycle. You will drive early problem identification and resolution, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and help establish robust quality standards.
What will you do?
- Own product quality throughout the new product development and sustaining lifecycle, from requirements definition through validation, release, and production support.
- Translate PRD/EPS requirements into clear, measurable quality and validation requirements with defined acceptance criteria and full traceability.
- Create, maintain, and execute Validation Test Plans (VTPs) and reports for EVT/DVT/PVT, including test coverage, sample planning, resources, and schedules, and develop quality reports, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Execute and/or coordinate electrical, mechanical, environmental, reliability, functional, and pre-compliance testing using internal and external laboratories.
- Facilitate risk management activities including DFMEA/PFMEA, driving mitigation actions and closure of high-risk items prior to product release.
- Work with internal subject matter experts, from Engineering and Compliance teams, on defining product regulatory and sustainability requirements related to UL/cUL, FCC/IC, CE, managing submissions, samples, and responses to test lab findings.?
- Support manufacturing and supplier quality, including First Article Inspection (FAI) review, validation of Critical to Quality (CTQ) items, definition of inspection methods, and support of yield and DPPM improvement.
Who are we looking or?
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in quality engineering supporting electro-mechanical, sensor-based, and/or connected products.
- Strong Electrical / Electronic fundamentals and troubleshooting: basic analog/digital concepts; safe handling of AC mains and DC outputs; use of DMM, oscilloscope, power supplies, loads, environmental chambers.
- Experience in NPD validation lifecycle: planning and exits for EVT/DVT/PVT; sample planning and configuration control.
- Working knowledge of regulatory/certification processes and interaction with external labs (UL/cUL, FCC/IC, CE).
