Corporate Sales part of HSBC Global Banking and Markets, is responsible for serving corporate clients with FX and Interest Rates Risk Management solutions. As part of Corporate Sales, sales will primarily service Middle Market Corporates, addressing their needs through the provision of strategic products, solutions and deep market insights. This role requires strong client experience to develop long lasting trusted relationships whilst improving product penetration, wallet share and overall business growth.
An understanding of financial markets, Derivatives products and strong commercial background is therefore essential in this role; the applicant should have prior experience or at least a good understanding of how the main derivatives products work, be able to provide good market insights, understand the main variables that affect the markets, and have strong skills in building and growing long-term relationships. They must also be able to work well under pressure.
The primary objective of the role is to manage and develop the revenue and profitability of allocated client portfolios whilst delivering excellent service to address client needs. A constant drive to improve the cost-of-service delivery will also be a key focus of the role and will require championing key initiatives.
Responsibilities of the role holder:

Identify business opportunities by understanding the client's needs and main risks.

Actively engage with clients and prospects to grow the portfolio and share of wallet.

Share market insights with clients to provide clarity and help them identify and manage their risks.

Price and execute FX derivatives, from vanilla products to more structured solutions.

Price and execute interest rate derivatives.

Promote FX trading through our digital channels.

Provide timely follow-up with relationship managers.

Travel periodically to different regions of the country to meet with clients and RMs.
Qualifications

Analytical aptitude in accordance with demands of the role (size of the organization, business knowledge process, compliance/risk nature of the function, intensity and diversity of change, competitive landscape for resources).

Strong understanding of the Corporate Sales Derivatives business, its products, clients, systems and key processes.

Good understanding of Capital Markets, covering foreign exchange instruments (Spot, Options, Swaps, Forwards and Futures) and interest rate derivatives and an ability to understand & manage a diverse and sometimes complex, product set.

Hold relevant exams and qualifications to satisfy local and any cross-border market regulations for non-advisory sales and trading activities.

Where applicable, experience managing a team with clear competencies in people & development, performance management, and high-quality execution.
