YOUR TASKS
Job Objective
Supervise and optimize material planning execution in a high complexity plant operation, focused on attaining high material availability within specified resource constraints.
Cooperation / project management in the context of regional and global projects in logistics networks as well implementation of new standards, methods or processes together with global or regional management.
Duties and Responsibilities
A Material Planning

Supervise and optimize material planning execution in a high complexity plant operation, focused on attaining high material availability within specified resource constraints.

Responsible to continuously improve the material planning process in a medium up to high complexity plant operation.

Direct and manage the maintenance of master data.

Supervise the first level support for material planning in a high complexity plant operation.

Supervise all knowledge transfer connected to the material planning process.

Track the achievement of material planning target KPIs in a high complexity plant operation and trigger countermeasures in case of deviations.

Supervise all material planning activities in a high complexity plant operation and continuously track and manage occurring changes.

Safeguard that all material planners are fulfilling the required tasks according to corporate standards and trigger trainings to close any related competence gaps in a high complexity plant operation.

Build-up and maintain all required capabilities and competences to execute a first level support for all material planning related issues in a high complexity plant operation.

Responsible to direct material planning planners to attain required master data quality for standard material planning use cases.

Ensure and trigger continuous improvement within the material planning process and supervise the implementation of improvements according to corporate standards incl. documentation of changes.

Align all material planning activities within plant logistics and across other related functions in the plant as well as in corporate logistics.

Especially aligning with sales and demand planning, production planning, production and purchasing.

Manage material planning exceptions and facilitate the generation of viable solutions and initiate logistic escalation if necessary.

Assumption of KPI responsibility.

Cooperation / project management in the context of regional and global projects in logistics networks.

Ensure global standards
B Project Management

Management and project lead for high complexity logistics projects from technical and organizational perspective incl. rollout and sustainable implementation of corporate standard processes.

Defining, planning, coordinating and monitoring tasks within project teams by using defined methods and systems.

Preparing and further development of concepts for improving recording, analysis, modeling, presentation and management of process-related data.

Continuous monitoring of project success regarding time, budget and output quality and driving execution of defined actions.

Coaching and training of the project team and/or triggering additional trainings.

Negotiating general logistics conditions with suppliers, service providers and customers (e.g. JIT/JIS processes, turnaround periods, packaging).

Deploying employees corresponding to their qualifications within the relevant structure. Instructing and supporting employees in a target-oriented and motivating manner to fulfill the tasks.

Guiding, instructing and supporting employees in function-related tasks.

Participating in hiring process and responsible to sustain the team performance and evaluation as well as qualification demands.
