As Payroll Coordinator within Service Operations, you will ensure accurate and timely payment for all employees, managing related responsibilities! You will collaborate with operational partners, serving as a key communication link for timekeeping issues. Coordinators facilitate updates on company policies or system changes affecting time tracking or payroll. Your review of timekeeping records ensures accuracy, addressing discrepancies promptly by collaborating closely with employees or supervisors.
This role involves preliminary hours of processing to detect and resolve errors before final payroll submission. You will assist in HR system updates for new hires, termination, and status changes. Coordinators liaise with the Payroll and Finance departments, providing detailed reports. Regular reporting to management includes overtime, missing hours, and posting errors. Coordinators evaluate system performance, identifying areas for improvement.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Collect, review, and process employee time data, including regular hours, overtime, vacation, and other pay adjustments
- Verify the accuracy of employee time records and payroll calculations; research and correct discrepancies as needed
- Respond to employee and supervisor inquiries related to payroll, time worked, and attendance
- Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant time and attendance records in accordance with internal policies
- Ensure timely submission of employee timecards by supervisors and employees
- Prepare, generate, analyze, and distribute time and attendance reports for management
- Manage and maintain the company’s time and attendance system, including employee validation and record updates
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for process improvements
- Stay current on changes to time, attendance, and payroll regulations and standard procedures
What You Bring
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly
- Analytical mindset with the ability to handle complicated payroll and timekeeping issues confidently
- Conceptual thinker with strong organizational skills, personal dedication, and a goal-oriented work ethic
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information securely
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in payroll, human resources, finance, or a closely related field
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven professional with strong prioritization and accuracy skills
- Collaborative, initiative-taking team player with strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Positive, solution-focused approach to challenges and continuous improvement
- Ability to analyze complex data and present findings clearly and transparently to leadership
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization (internal transfer exceptions may apply)
