A Snapshot of Your Day
As specialist in USMCA qualification of origin you’ll be responsible for analyzing the production process of complete equipment and parts that will be exported to US, analyzing the Bill Of Materials (BOM’s) among other documents to ensure they meet with the rules of origin for preferential tariff treatment for our clients in US, will be responsible for documenting processes to prevent reviews of origin, fines and any possible risk as well as manage and maintain the corresponding records. In addition, will be responsible for the solicitation of proofs of origin annually and as required, and will be responsible for advice and training internal teams on USMCA rules of origin and customs compliance procedures to prevent any possible risk.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Carry out a detailed and accurate analysis of the information provided to determine if final product qualifies as USMCA originating.

Accurate calculations of the different options to obtain the required regional content percentage of each product.
- Risk management and mitigation to prevent penalties due to non-compliance with USMCA guidelines and Customs department internal requirements.

Ensure all supporting documentation is complete and accurate to maintain a clear traceability through the complete supply chain. As well as ensure that all supporting documentation remains in the corresponding document repository.

In case of an audit prepare the necessary documentation, support in attending the requirement.

Carry out the solicitation of origin annual campaign and as required during the qualification of origin analysis.
What You Bring
- Knowledge and a deep understanding of USMCA rules of origin.

Ability to analyze a productive process and each component to identify opportunities, modifications in the supply chain, etc. to ensure that meets the rules of origin.

Skill in managing diverse documentation that supports the origin and issuance of certificates of origin.

Able to perform a cross-functional work with different areas of factory El Marqués and have strong skills to collaborate with suppliers.

Ability to identify error calculations and implement improvements in processes, templates, formulas, etc.
- Must have the ability to advise and train internal areas and suppliers if necessary.

University Degree in International Trade, Commerce, Law, or Economics.

Professional Experience (3+ years) in qualification of origin under USMCA rules.

English at professional working profiency level.
