- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive product portfolio strategies to maximize market opportunity, revenue growth, profitability, and lifecycle performance. Partner cross-functionally to ensure alignment from strategic planning through commercial execution.
- Define and drive short-, mid-, and long-term product portfolio objectives, translating business priorities into actionable plans that support sustainable growth, market expansion, and competitive differentiation.
- Generate market insights through voice-of-customer initiatives, competitive intelligence, market analytics, and stakeholder engagement, identifying opportunities, risks, and emerging trends to inform strategic decision-making.
- Own portfolio pricing, profitability, and commercialization strategies, establishing pricing governance, value positioning, and go-to-market approaches that optimize financial performance while supporting customer adoption and access.
- Lead portfolio planning and lifecycle management activities, including product launches, phase-ins, phase-outs, registration planning, renewals, supply readiness, and forecast alignment, ensuring operational excellence and business continuity.
- Partner with commercial, regulatory, supply chain, finance, clinical, and customer-facing teams to drive effective portfolio execution, demand planning, inventory optimization, and achievement of business objectives.
- Develop and execute integrated marketing programs and brand strategies that strengthen market leadership, customer engagement, product adoption, and long-term brand equity within the assigned territory.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the product portfolio, delivering product education, clinical support, technical expertise, and customer-facing presentations to healthcare professionals, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Support commercial excellence initiatives by enabling the sales organization with value-based messaging, training, tools, competitive positioning, and market intelligence to improve customer outcomes and business performance.
- Monitor and evaluate business performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), proactively identifying growth opportunities and implementing corrective actions to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability targets.
- Lead new product introduction and commercialization activities, ensuring successful market launches, stakeholder readiness, adoption acceleration, and post-launch performance tracking.
- Collaborate with regional and global marketing teams to align local strategies with broader business objectives, sharing market insights and best practices to support organizational growth and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with Medtronic policies, healthcare industry regulations, quality standards, and ethical business practices in all marketing, commercial, and customer engagement activities.
SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects – from design to implementation - while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
