Position Summary
The Market Analyst / Business Intelligence Analyst supports the Sales Division by integrating and analyzing information from multiple internal and external market sources to generate insights, reports, dashboards, and strategic recommendations that drive commercial growth and profitability.
This role plays a key part in supporting strategic decision-making related to pricing, forecasting, market share, competitiveness, and customer performance. The position works closely with Sales Management, Business Line Managers, and Business Development teams to identify opportunities, improve performance visibility, and strengthen commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze sales, pricing, profitability, and market share data to support strategic commercial decisions.
- Develop and maintain executive dashboards and KPI reports using Power BI, Excel, and Salesforce.
- Conduct market and trend analysis to identify business opportunities within the mining and construction industries.
- Monitor and improve sales forecast accuracy and alignment between projections and actual performance.
- Track and map mining and construction projects across Mexico to support proactive sales initiatives.
- Support Sales Representatives and Business Line Managers with analytical tools, market insights, and customer information.
- Maintain accurate and consistent data within ERP and CRM systems.
- Prepare monthly performance reports and commercial analytics versus targets and objectives.
- Support strategic initiatives and special projects such as TTMX2.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Business Development teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Analytics, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience in Business Intelligence, Market Analysis, Sales Analytics, or Commercial Analytics roles.
- Advanced knowledge of Power BI and DAX language.
- Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and database management.
- Experience working with Salesforce, CRM, and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of forecasting, pricing analysis, profitability, and KPI management.
- Experience developing dashboards, reports, and data visualization tools.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Availability to travel up to 25% within Mexico.
- Experience in mining, construction, industrial, or heavy equipment industries is highly desirable.
