We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law, along with exceptional organizational skills. As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys by conducting legal research, drafting documents, and managing case files. This position requires proficiency in legal drafting and familiarity with tools such as Westlaw.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by organizing case files and evidence.
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw and other resources to support case preparation.
- Draft legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Interview clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for cases.
- Maintain organized files for all cases, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Manage deadlines and ensure timely filing of documents with the court.
- Provide administrative support within the law office as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred; paralegal certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of personal injury law is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in legal drafting and document preparation.
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
