We are looking for a proficient UNDERWRITER ANALYST who is motivated to professionally grow and excel with the company. This role is responsible to maintain the highest level of technical underwriting expertise and integrity in their LOB and within the company, by developing risk-analyzing standards and best liability practices, supporting staff skill development, and ensuring the underwriting quality with soft-sales skills.
Tasks will consist of:
1. Process and evaluate insurance quote applications for commercial auto and determine whether to approve them according to our Guidelines for each market/carrier, starting with the gather and verification of the client information.
2. For approved applications, we must review documents , coverage amounts and premiums requested by the broker, proceeding to perform data entry and ensure accuracy of all entered information in order to maintain an accurate record.
3. Engage and maintain good professional relationships with brokers/agents through monitoring the status of insurance applications, negotiating terms, pricing, and coverage to secure account as a consultative selling – by advising brokers and clients on solutions that lead to policy binding.
Skills:
- Experience in the U.S auto insurance industryas an underwriter or its equivalent
- Strong analytical, and detail oriented skills(financial, legal, etc. to identify risks)
- Negotiation and soft-sales skills.
- Willingness to learn through work practice and work under pressure. .
- Team player with a positive and professional demeanor
- Performs other duties as assigned
