Join ASMPT as a Field Service Engineer
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support advanced SMT equipment at customer sites. This role requires strong technical skills, customer interaction, and extensive domestic and international travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, start up, inspect, maintain, and repair SMT equipment
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, servers, and SQL database issues
- Analyze production data, machine performance, and bug reports
- Lead equipment trials, repairs, and maintenance activities
- Deliver technical training and support to customers
- Document service activities and provide technical recommendations
- Work closely with customers to resolve complex technical issues
Requirements
✔ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related)
✔ Minimum 2 years of experience in the SMT industry
✔ Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
✔ Experience with networking, SQL databases, and software tools
✔ Fluent English (written and spoken)
✔ Ability to travel 50-75% domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SIPLACE equipment and software
Intermediate conversational English (written and spoken) required
Portuguese language skills are a plus
