The Sourcing Specialist collaborates cross-functionally to drive cost-effectiveness, quality, and innovation in the supply chain. Requires a professional degree, strong analytical skills, advanced English proficiency, and at least four years of experience in sourcing or procurement roles.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and evaluate suppliers ensuring quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Negotiate contracts and terms to optimize pricing, delivery, and service levels, prioritizing NPI timelines.
Conduct market research to identify sourcing opportunities and support product innovation.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships for collaboration and responsiveness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing with NPI goals and timelines.
Source materials and components for prototypes, pilot runs, and production phases.
Coordinate supplier qualification, audits, and sample validations.
Monitor supplier KPIs such as delivery, quality, and cost performance.
Optimize sourcing processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Maintain a supplier database including contracts, performance, and NPI capabilities.
Identify and mitigate risks such as disruptions or material shortages.
Develop cost models and forecasts to support strategic sourcing decisions.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics, and regulations.
Diversify supplier base to reduce dependency and increase scalability.
Coordinate with logistics for timely delivery of NPI materials.
Implement sustainable sourcing aligned with CSR objectives.
JOB PROFILE
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably with exposure to NPI processes.
3. Advanced English proficiency (90% or higher, spoken and written) for effective communication with global suppliers.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
5. Strong knowledge of global sourcing strategies, supply chain dynamics, and NPI requirements.
6. Experience with procurement software or ERP systems (eg. Ax dynamics).
7. Proven negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier relationships.
8. Analytical mindset with expertise in cost analysis, market research, and project management.
