Intugo, in partnership with a foreign company specializing in ophthalmology and vision care services, is looking for a Medical Receptionist to join its growing team in Guadalajara.

What You'll Do
As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a key role in ensuring a positive patient experience while supporting the daily operations of a busy medical practice. Your responsibilities will include:
- Answering incoming calls and assisting patients professionally and courteously.
- Scheduling, confirming, rescheduling, and canceling patient appointments.
- Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Assisting patients with referrals and authorization processes.
- Registering and updating patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Processing patient documentation and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Coordinating with insurance providers regarding authorizations and referrals.
- Managing patient recalls and follow-up appointments.
- Contacting patients regarding outstanding balances when necessary.
- Providing pre-operative education and instructions to patients.
- Supporting both administrative and patient communication workflows while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Receptionist, Medical Office Assistant, Healthcare Customer Service Representative, or similar role.
- Experience working in a healthcare or medical office environment.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and scheduling software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential patient information with professionalism.
- Experience with insurance verification, referrals, or prior authorizations is highly preferred.
