We are searching for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Ensenada, Mexico. Responsible for supporting the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices in compliance with Mexican tax regulations, including electronic invoicing requirements. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial records and supporting the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. The role also provides ad hoc support to the US Accounts Payable team, serving as a bilingual resource across both operations.
Essential Functions:
- Process, validate, and record supplier invoices in accordance with Mexican electronic invoicing regulations and SAT guidelines.
- Verify that all incoming invoices comply with SAT requirements before processing.
- Perform 3-way matching purchase orders, receipts, and supplier invoices.
- Manage accounts payable aging and ensure payments are processed within established terms.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs (transfers, checks, and electronic payments).
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions and supporting documentation.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close activities related to accounts payable.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing and Finance teams to resolve invoice and payment issues.
- Provide ad hoc support to the US Accounts Payable team, including invoice processing, vendor communication, and other AP-related tasks as business needs require.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in public accounting.
- No prior experience required. The selected candidate will receive full on-the-job training from our internal team.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn Mexican electronic invoicing and SAT regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- SAP experience is a plus but not required.
- English: Advanced proficiency — able to communicate fluently in a professional environment, including written correspondence, verbal communication, and cross-functional collaboration with the US team.
