We are expanding our sales team in Mexico City and looking for ambitious, resilient, and results-driven sales professionals to help grow our business across the Americas, with a strong focus on the United States.
About the Role
As a Bilingual Outbound Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and contacting potential business customers, qualifying their needs, and booking demos for our US-based sales team.
This is a high-volume outbound calling role. You will spend most of your day calling business owners and decision-makers, introducing Alibaba.com, qualifying interest, and creating qualified sales opportunities.
This role is ideal for someone who is energized by phone-based sales, comfortable with rejection, and motivated by daily activity targets, pipeline creation, and performance-based results.
What You Will Do
• Make high-volume outbound calls to potential business customers, primarily in the US market.
• Contact business owners and decision-makers to introduce Alibaba.com and identify potential sellers.
• Qualify leads based on business needs, interest level, and fit for Alibaba.com membership.
• Book qualified demos and meetings for the US sales closing team.
• Follow up consistently through phone, email, and other approved outreach channels.
• Maintain accurate records of calls, conversations, lead status, and next steps.
• Work closely with the sales team to improve lead quality, conversion rates, and demo show-up rates.
• Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly targets for outbound activity, qualified leads, and booked demos.
Position Requirement
What We Are Looking For
• Previous experience in outbound sales, cold calling, telemarketing, appointment setting, lead generation, business development, or call center sales.
• Strong comfort with making a high volume of outbound calls every day.
• English proficiency at B2 level or above; C1 preferred.
• Ability to speak professionally and confidently with US-based business owners and decision-makers.
• Resilient, persistent, and motivated by targets and performance metrics.
• Strong listening skills and ability to quickly identify customer needs.
• Organized and disciplined in tracking follow-ups and sales activity.
• Experience selling to SMBs, merchants, manufacturers, exporters, distributors, or business owners is a plus.
• Interest in e-commerce, international trade, or digital business is a plus.

• Your booked demos have strong show-up and conversion quality.
