Frontend Development & Customization: Actively build, modify, and maintain our website using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid. Translate Figma mock-ups into pixel-perfect, fully responsive Shopify custom themes.
Backend & App Integration Management: Oversee the integration of Shopify apps, third-party APIs, and custom backend functionalities. Ensure new tools or custom features communicate seamlessly with our core setup without creating conflicts.
Technical SEO & Site Architecture: Structure the codebase and site architecture according to SEO best practices. Take ownership of technical SEO elements including managing metadata, schema implementation, clean URL structures, and crawl ability.
Performance & Speed Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize page speed and Core Web Vitals. Conduct asset optimization (minifying code, compressing images, lazy loading) to ensure lightning-fast load times for mobile and desktop shoppers.
Good understanding of SEO best practices and technical SEO, work alongside SEO specialists and Graphic Designers on Website projects.
User Experience & UI Design: Create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity mock-ups optimised for both B2B and B2C clients, ensuring a frictionless pathway from product discovery to checkout.
8+ years of proven experience in UX/Web design, preferably in e-commerce or Shopify-based environments.
Experience partnering with SEO specialists to transform technical audits and keyword strategies into high-performing, user-friendly live pages.
Ability to collaborate with graphic designers to optimize visual assets for fast page load speeds and SEO compliance without losing brand quality.
Ability to logically structure complex product catalogues using intuitive mega-menus and advanced faceted filtering.
Expertise in optimising assets (e.g., WebP images, lazy loading) and minimising code bloat for lightning-fast page speeds.
